We are renowned for the exceptional quality of our teaching. SBMS lecturers have won Teaching and Learning prizes for five of the last six years. Recent successes at the UK Science, Engineering and Technology (SET) awards include Best Biology Student, Best Chemistry Student and runners up in the Food, Nutrition and Health and Pharmacology categories.
The Times Good University Guide 2007 ranks our Food Science programmes first and our Biological Sciences programmes fourth in their league tables. Programmes offered include Biochemistry, Microbiology, Nutrition and Biomedical Sciences.
The Guardian 2006 University Guide ranks our Chemistry programmes twelfth in their league tables.
