The Surrey Business School's Marketing and Retail group is proud to present Monica Hope, delivering a seminar on 'Developing Business Engagement with the Curriculum'.
Abstract
Surrey Business School prides itself on “providing an education that combines academic rigour with business application” the purpose of this discussion is to identify areas where the business community can be more involved with the student curriculum within the Management School. Once having developed a blueprint approach for business engagement this can then be used to develop further learning opportunities.
Biography
Monica has spent a number of years working with global retailers such as Kingfisher, Auchan and Home Depot, primarily developing and implementing their retail and marketing strategies in Europe, America and the Far East. She has also been involved in developing fmcg, automotive and service brands with the Homeform Group, Diageo, Unipart and British Alcan.
Monica has also worked as a management consultant with clients, ranging from start up scenarios to international operators, developing their marketing strategies.
Research Interests alongside the development of business engagement and the hidden curriculum include Relationship Marketing as a means of competitive advantage, Quality and Service improvements to drive Customer Satisfaction, Brand development and International retailing.
