Professor Alexander gives BBC interview on the supermarket in the UK
Friday 20 January 2012

Professor Andrew Alexander gave a wide-ranging radio interview on the development of the supermarket in the UK to BBC Radio London in December 2011. Coinciding with the release of a Government appointed independent review of the future of the High Street led by Mary Portas, Andrew spoke about the historical development of the supermarket, as well as more recent aspects of the debate on retail change and its effects.
Andrew’s AHRC funded research on the historical development of the supermarket in the UK, and its effects on consumers, was also featured in Bagehot’s regular column in The Economist last year.
