Award winning papers

Between them Dr Julie Gore from the Surrey Business School and Dr Alexander Pepper, a Senior Fellow at the London School of Economics have won two awards for recent academic papers.

Dr Gore and Dr Pepper’s paper entitled “Towards a Behavioural Agency Theory: New Micro-foundations for Theorising about Senior Executive Reward” was presented at the European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management 3rd European Reward Management Conference in Brussels at the beginning of December where it won the Best Paper award.

 

Dr Pepper recently completed his DBA at Surrey Business School under the supervision of Dr Gore and Dr Alf Crossman. His doctoral research, “Behavioural Aspects of Senior Executive Reward Systems” has been chosen by the editors of Personnel Review, as a Highly Commended Award winner in the 2011 Emerald/EFMD Outstanding Doctoral Research Awards.
