PhD Student Success

Dr Andrey Golubov, under the supervision of Professor Dimitris Petmezas, successfully completed his PhD (entitled ‘The Reputation of Economic Agents in Mergers and Acquisitions’) in November 2011. The first chapter of his Thesis has been published (co-authored with Professor Dimitris Petmezas) in the leading Journal of Finance. In addition to this success, Andrey also received the University of Surrey Postgraduate Research Student of the Year Award for 2012. Andrey has now been appointed as a lecturer at Cass Business School. We congratulate him on his success and wish him the very best for his future academic career.
Dr Yanli Cheng, under the supervision of Professor Frank Skinner, successfully completed her PhD (entitled ‘Modelling of Mortgage Prepayment and the Valuation of Mortgage-backed Securities’) in March 2012. We congratulate Yanli on her success and wish her the very best for her future career.
