Three students on our accounting and finance programmes were awarded university prizes during the year.
The Tim Hughes Memorial Prize for the student on the Accounting and Financial Management Undergraduate Programme achieving the highest grades in the five modules that make up CIMA’s Certificate in Business Accounting was awarded to Grant Jennings, a placement year student, who received a cheque for £350.
The Surrey Business School Prize for Overall Best Student (and cheque for £200) was awarded to Dexter Lo, a final year student on the Accounting and Financial Management Undergraduate Programme.
The IFS School of Finance Prize (and cheque for £250) for the final year student on the Financial Services Management Undergraduate Programme with the highest overall mark was awarded to Granie O’Grady. Dextor and Granie are pictured here receiving their prizes at the University of Surrey Graduation Ceremony (held on 18th July 2012).
