Short courses

The School of Arts provides a wide range of opportunities for you to study with us on a part- time basis.  

There are opportunities to study all aspects of musical theatre with the internationally renowned Guildford School of Acting for children from age 5 upwards to adults.  Classes take place at weekends, in the Summer and Easter school holidays and there is a part time evening course for students intending to complete their A levels (aged 16 – 20) which will prepare you for further full time education in the Performing Arts

In addition we also offer a series of evening classes, clubs and societies for those would like to explore forms of visual art and also written works.

For the visual arts we offer mixed ability 10 week courses in pottery and painting and drawing, or there is the photographic society which is run by the University of Surrey Student’s Union.  

If your passion is the written word, then we have groups involved in  Poetry Reading and Creative Writing, there is also a Book Circle which meets monthly where you can explore works and discuss opinions.
