August 2009 to July 2010, Racing Green Endurance and Radical Sportscars worked closely to produce the stunning SRZero electric sportscar.
The SRZero is a 400 bhp car, weighing in at just over a tonne with a top speed of 200 km/h that does 0 -100 km./h in 7 seconds and only costs one penny a mile to run. This in itself was a magnificent feat of engineering, but not content with sitting back and admiring their handiwork, the team then took the car out for a spin. Not only did they successfully travel the full 26,000 km. length of the Pan-American Highway, they touched the hearts of many people on the way. They proved beyond doubt that electric cars can be sustainable, whilst educating and inspiring the next generation of budding scientists and engineers.
