Glorious Blood

Come Hair-raising high-voltage demonstrations make this show about electricity and magnetism and electrifying experience.
WARNING: This show involves the use of a large Tesla coil which emits strong magnetic and electric field. Anyone attending the show that is either fitted with a PACEMAKER or PREGNANT should be aware of the nature of this show and is asked to remain at least 3 metres from the equipment at all times.
Chemistry Show

Accelerate!allows you to get up close and personal with the exciting world of particle and accelerator physics. You’ll learn how particle accelerators can do everything from recreating conditions just after the Big Bang to finding new ways to treat cancer, as well as finding out how to drive the World's biggest machine—the Large Hadron Collider in Switzerland. Explosions, hair-raising experiences and objects which float in mid-air are just some of the things you’ll see in the Accelerate! show
The Science of Vampires

Ever wondered if there is more to vampires than myths and lots of fake blood? This is a chance to find out about the science behind the fangs and folklore of our blood sucking friends!

For all budding rocket scientists! We will be applying a bit of scientific theory to building rocket ships out of balloons. There will be prizes for the furthest flying rocket, so get your thinking caps on.
Chocolate Geology

Take core samples and identify the different ‘rock’ types in chocolate bars then use this information to create a map. Geology was never this much fun at school

Interactive science show using items you can find in and around the home.
The group divides into teams with each team given 100 IQ points to begin with, and, over a series of visually spectacular experiments, the aim is to build up as many points as possible. The teams must decide how confident they are in each prediction and risk their IQ points accordingly. The experiment is then carried out, with points awarded for correct answers. But beware, you could end up losing everything.

Take a seat and prepare to be dazzaled as scientists themselves tell you in 9 minutes about what they love and why they love it. In the past we've had everything from live demos to comedy sets, videos to sketches and music to history lessons.
