Professor Allan Williams has joined the Tourism Group as Chair in tourism management, as part of a university initiative to recruit leading researchers to work in the university's acknowledged areas of research strength. Allan's main research interests are tourism entrepreneurship and innovation, the relations between tourism and migration, and the role of tourism in economic development. His work has been supported by research grants from the ESRC, EPSRC, Leverhulme Foundation and the British Academy.
