In May Maltika Siripis, from Thailand, successfully defended her thesis on Roles of Film in Mediating Destination Image and Tourist Practices: The Beach and Thailand, and was recommended for the award of PhD.  The examiners, pictured here with Maltika, were Professor Brian Wheeller and Dr Edith Szivas. Also present was one of her supervisors, Professor David Airey. The other supervisor, Dr Caroline Scarles is on maternity leave.
