In May 2011, the Council of Hospitality Management Education (CHME) awarded its prestigious Fellowship to Prof. Peter Jones in recognition of his contribution to the field of hospitality management education and to the Council. CHME is a non-profit making organisation representing UK universities and colleges offering higher education programmes in the fields of  hospitality studies, hospitality management, and related fields. Its purpose is to contribute to the professional development and status of UK hospitality management education, through the sharing of best practice in scholarship and pedagogy.  Prof. Jones served on the CHME Executive for a number of years and has actively participated in CHME conferences and events.
