Friday 15 July 2011

The University has become a partner in SECOA, an EU FP7 project which analyses the relationships between human mobility, urbanization and the natural environment. Professor Allan Williams, of the Tourism Group, is leading SECOA’s research on human mobility. The project combines the modelling of secondary data, case studies, and scenario building. It will also develop management and policy recommendations in partnership with end users such as the Environment Agency, local authorities and NGOs. Surrey’s share of the funding is £110,000.
