Biography

Elina is active in several research fields including tourism, technology and disability. She holds a B.Sc. in Tourism Management from Technological Institute of Patras, Greece, and a Masters degree in M.Sc. eTourism, from University of Surrey, UK. Previously she worked for 2, 5 years as a Research Officer in eTourism Research Development and Evaluation at the University of Surrey for the European Commission funded eContent Project OSSATE (One-Stop-Shop for Accessible Tourism in Europe). Elina gained a year’s work experience in Organising and Hosting the Olympic and Paralympic Games 2004 in Athens, Greece.

Research Interests

Principal research interests lie in the field of performance measurement, e-marketing, information systems evaluation, tourism, and disability. I am currently investigating the relationship between disabled user’s requirements and technology acceptance for my PhD. Deploying both qualitative and quantitative methodologies, I explore user experiences to reveal the critical factors to be incorporated in information systems’ development process.
