European Sociological Association Sexuality Research Network Mid-Term conference

Dr Andrew King has organised a conference called ‘Sexuality in Theory and Practice’ and takes place at Kingston University on Monday 14th and Tuesday 15th January.
There are nearly seventy delegates expected. There are forty-two presentations and two keynote presentations.
Keynotes will be: Professor Brian Heaphy, University of Manchester ‘Ordinary Sexualities and Reflexive Convention’ and Dr Meg Barker, Open University ‘Consent is a Grey Area? They will be comparing understandings of consent in Fifty Shades of Grey and on the BDSM blogosphere’. Dr Andrew King is lead co-ordinator of the network with Isabel Crowhurst, Kingston University and Ana Cristina Santos, University of Coimbra.
