Biography

Corinna joined the Center for Research in Social Simulation at the Department of Sociology in August 2008 as a Research Fellow. She is working on a subpart of an ESRC funded project: Simulation Innovation in a Node (SIMIAN).

Corinna's research interests are formalisations of human behaviour, for example in Rational Choice Theory and agent conceptions in Artificial Intelligence, and how far they shed light on problems of sociology. She is currently focusing is on formal models of normative behaviour and how the relatively new methodology of social simulation can contribute to the age old problem of explaining norms whilst keeping autonomy for the social agent.

Her particular interest is the integration of cognitive functions into social simulation models.
