Analytic Tasks and Software Tools

The materials on this part of the website have been developed as a result of QUIC’s research into the ways researchers learn about and use CAQDAS packages and the common questions asked of the CAQDAS Networking Project’s email and telephone helpline  and researchers attending  intermediate-advanced training workshops. For information on this research please see the Briefing Paper ‘Research Design for longitudinal case study project’ found on the Working Papers  page.

From here you can access the following:

Moving on beyond initial coding  – a discussion about software tools which support the analytic tasks that can be usefully employed subsequent to the initial coding phase.

Combining and converting qualitative and quantitative data  – a discussion about the ways in which CAQDAS packages can support the integration of qualitative and quantitative data in mixed method research.

Feedback

We always welcome feedback concerning the relevance and usefulness of our resources. Indeed, many of the materials we provide are the direct result of repeated requests from students and qualitative researchers. So if you have downloaded any of the materials above please email us with your comments.
