Control Systems

The control systems group specialises and contains expertise in the design and implementation of control algorithms for a range of applications. Our current work involves design of electromagnetic actuators and active magnetic bearings for precision control of rotating bodies and precision pointing of instruments, underactuated control of spacecraft, singularity avoidance for Control Moment Gyros, robotics control, Inverse Kinematics with application to computer animation, protein folding and robotics, traction control, control of quad rotor unmanned aerial vehicles.
