Students take part in the eleventh annual student enterprise summer school
Friday 1 July 2016
The Enterprise Summer School, held by Student Enterprise in partnership with the University for the Creative Arts, entered its eleventh successful year and kicked off with students listening to inspiring speeches from local entrepreneurs.
Students were put to the task to come up with solutions for the Guildford Institute to improve their membership. The task took place over three intensive days that was packed with networking sessions and guest speakers who taught the students about their entrepreneurial journey.
The students each divided up into four teams based on their personalities through a short Belbin test and each team had the chance to compete for vouchers for the website Udemy, which offers short courses aimed at personal development. With a prize at stake the students set about gathering information from online and outside in the field by taking to streets of Guildford with questionnaires.
The whole programme was a great success with many students enjoying learning new skills, the networking event and contecting with our mentors.
