The Centre for Translation Studies at the University of Surrey is pleased to announce a number of bursaries for its range of Masters programmes in 2010-11.
What does each bursary provide? A contribution of circa £1,000 towards tuition fees (£4,200 for Home/EU students, £10,000 for Overseas students in 2010-2011).

Who is eligible to apply for the bursary? Any candidate who applies by 1st June 2010 at the latest for one of the CTS Masters programmes on a full-time basis to commence in September/October 2010 can also apply for a CTS bursary by the same date. The competition has now been opened up to students of all languages offered on the programmes and to include the MA in Monolingual Subtitling and Audio Description.

To download the application form for the above bursary scheme, please click here. Anyone who wishes to be considered must return their completed form before 1st June 2010. Applicants should note that they do not need to wait for a decision to be made on their application before applying for the bursary.

Funding opportunities for Masters applicants from Spain
For the third consecutive year, the Spanish government is offering interest-free loans to Spanish students studying Master's degrees, including those who wish to study in the UK.
The total funding available for 2009/2010 is EUR 150,000,000.
The maximum study period is 21 months and the maximum loan per student, including an overseas allowance, is EUR 22,800. The loans, which are interest-free, have to be repaid over a 20-year period once the student's income exceeds a certain threshold. Grants are awarded to individuals and not the receiving institution.
