The Duke Of Kent Building - This iconic building was finished in 1999 and cost £10 million. (Architects: Sir Nicholas Grimshaw and Partners. Project architect: Chris Nash.) It houses the Faculty of Health & Medical Sciences and is dedicated to HRH The Duke of Kent KG, Chancellor of the University since 1977, whose portrait by Paul Fitzgerald hangs inside.

The Geodesic Dome was presented to the University in 1982 on the occasion of the Space Structures Conference hosted by Professor Zygmunt Makowski, based on the original construction by Buckminster Fuller

The University commissioned artist Allan Sly, to design and produce a sculpture of the University logo - a stag with a key, for the site entrance. The iconic piece of artwork was officially unveiled on 25 February 2009 by HRH The Duke of Kent KG at the University of Surrey.
