Facilities

To help with day-to-day living, the main Stag Hill Campus has a laundrette, post office, bank, bookshop, convenience stores, and a health centre / GP practice. There is a large supermarket nearby, and a halal grocery store and a Chinese / Polish store in the town centre. The Students' Union also has an international food shop and holds a very popular weekly fruit-and-vegetable market.

All Courts of Residence have a warden service, making you feel safe and secure. Court Life Mentors are also on hand to assist you. Living in the courts of residence, they are experienced students who organise social activities, help you to settle in and visit every student on a regular basis to make sure everyone sees a friendly face.

All student rooms have a free, unlimited broadband service.

Room Rates

Our Accommodation Office will help you find the right place to live, on or off campus, at affordable rents, throughout your time at Surrey. Our Courts of Residence offer five rent bands so you will be able to find accommodation that suits your budget. As a guide, 2010-11 rents will range from £60 - £130 per week, with typical standard rooms costing £86 and en suite £106 per week. Rents for the next academic year are confirmed on the Accommodation Office webpages in spring.

Our rents are inclusive of utilities, broadband, phone and insurance, so there is nothing extra to pay. To make life easy, rent is collected by direct debit which you can set up online.
