Arriving on Campus

We will be welcoming new students all weekend of Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 September and there will be staff, Mentors and Freshers’ Angels on duty to assist you from 09:00 to 17:00 on both days.

Please note - if you would like to arrive when it is less busy, then please choose to arrive on Sunday morning, as this is normally our quietest time.

Check the information below for the arrival arrangements according to your allocated court of residence. If you’re unsure where your accommodation is located, check the map.

NB: If you are an International Student or a GSA Production Student you may be arriving outside of these times. Please go to Arrival at Other Times for alternative arrangements.

Arrivals on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 September between 09:00 and 17:00

Stag Hill Campus:

Battersea, Cathedral, Guildford, International House, Millennium House, Stag Hill, Surrey, Twyford and University Courts
  1. You should always aim to arrive during your prebooked arrival slot.
  2. To start, you should park in the main car parks as directed on the day – when you reach campus, please follow the directions of staff and signs into the car parks.
  3. Next, take your room confirmation letter and go to the Austin Pearce Building, near to the car park, to collect your key.
  4. Return to your car and follow directions to your residence building to unload.
  5. Once you have unloaded, return your vehicle to the campus car parks where parking is free of charge all day.

Manor Park and Bellerby Court

  1. You should always aim to arrive during your pre-booked arrival slot.
  2. You should park as directed and then go to the Reception at Manor Park with your room confirmation letter and collect your key.
  3. Drive to your residences building to unload.
  4. After unloading, you must remove your vehicle to the temporary parking which will be signposted.

Hazel Farm

  1. Go straight to Hazel Farm – you will be able to collect your keys on site on the day. Please ensure that you have your room confirmation letter with you.
  2. Don’t forget that a free bus pass is supplied to Hazel Farm residents!
  3. After unloading, free parking is available at Hazel Farm.

Parking

Residents on the Stag Hill and Manor Park campus may not keep a car at either location. On arrival days there is free daytime parking available at both locations for parents’ and friends’ cars, but these must be removed from car parks by 23:00 each evening.

Free parking is available at Hazel Farm for residents. Within the first week, after you have moved in, you should collect a Hazel Farm parking permit from the caretaker at the site office, next to 15 Hamilton Drive.

Arrival at other times

If you are unable to arrive between 09:00 to 17:00 on the weekend of Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 September, please follow the alternative arrangements below.

Stag Hill Campus

Battersea, Cathedral, Guildford, International House, Millennium House, Stag Hill, Surrey, Twyford and University Courts

Keys can be collected from court receptions at the following times:

Monday to Friday

Cathedral Reception, covering Cathedral Court, Guildford Court, Twyford Court and International House: 08:00 – 19:00

Stag Hill Reception, covering Stag Hill Court, University Court and Millennium House: 08:00 – 19:00

Battersea Reception, covering Battersea Court and Surrey Court: 08:00 – 23:00

Saturday 29 September

Battersea Reception: 08:00 – 23:00

All other receptions: 08:00 – 18:00

Sunday 30 September

Battersea Reception: 09:00 – 23:00

All other receptions: 09:00 – 18:00

Manor Park and Bellerby Court

Monday to Friday

Manor Park Reception: 08:00 – 19:00

Saturday 29 September

Manor Park Reception: 08:00 – 18:00

Sunday 30 September

Manor Park Reception: 09:00 – 18:00

At other times, a Security Officer is on duty at Manor Park Reception who will issue keys and assist you.

Hazel Farm

Monday to Friday

Keys may be collected from the Accommodation Office on the Stag Hill campus from 10:00 – 17:00.

Outside these opening times, keys for expected arrivals can be collected from the Security Office in Senate House which is open 24 hours. To request key collection from Security, please use the contact form on the accommodation section of our website.
