New air-interface

The main objective in this area is an air interface design for dense small cells with the focus on higher spectral efficiency, reduced latency, relaxed synchronisation requirements, flexibility in spectrum aggregation and bandwidth and higher energy efficiency.

We address topics such as new wave forms (including non-orthogonal and enhanced orthogonal wave forms), Massive MIMO, use of larger bandwidths and flexible implementation of spectrum aggregation. We also focus on different duplexing methods, and the capability for Device to Device (D2D) communications.
