This year’s annual Guitar Day, hosted by the University's International Guitar Research Centre, features a rare UK performance by one of the world’s finest classical guitarists - Zoran Dukić. Before his concert, Zoran will talk with Steve Goss about Steve’s new piece ‘Cinema Paradiso’, which Zoran premiered in Germany in June 2017. The day begins with a recital by 2017 Ivor Mairants Guitar Award winner Giacomo Susani, who will play a piece written for him by Surrey alumnus Marek Pasieczny.

Winner of the 19th Ivor Mairants Guitar Award, presented by the Worshipful Company of Musicians, Italian guitarist Giacomo Susani regularly performs as soloist and in chamber ensembles in some of Italy’s most prestigious venues as well as throughout the UK.

Zoran Dukić is one of the most distinguished classical guitarists of our time. His concert performances leave a long-lasting impression on both audiences and critics.
