The 3 minute thesis (3MT) competition at Surrey

An 80,000 word thesis …9 hours to present. Their time limit...3 mins!

The 3MT is an international academic competition that challenges doctoral students to describe their research within three minutes to a general audience. 3MT celebrates the discoveries made by research students and encourages their skill in communicating the importance of research to the broader community. The winning student will be entered into the national competition.

The judging panel includes the Vice-Chancellor, Max Lu, last year’s winner Simon Steenson (FHMS), Lucy Bell (Lecturer in Spanish and Translation Studies), Ria O’Sullivan (Marketing) and Siddharth Gadkari (research fellow in Department of Chemical and Process Engineering).  The judge’s choice winner will be entered into the national competition.

Many congratulations to Hashini for her superb effort.
