Dr Prashant Kumar awarded two joint funding awards from the UGPN

The University Global Partnership Network (UGPN) is a preferred partnership network including North Carolina State University, the University of São Paulo and the University of Surrey

Dr Kumar has been selected to receive joint funding on two proposals, ‘Towards the Treatment of Aerosol Emissions from Biomass Burning in Chemical Transport Models’ and ‘Green Infrastructure Research Development for Stormwater and Air Quality’ in partnership with colleagues at NC State University and the University of Sao Paulo.

This Funds will support international activities leading to high quality research collaborations between researchers at the UGPN partner institutions. The fund will support projects based upon scientific and scholarly merit of proposals and the availability of resources.

The University Global Partnership Network has created a platform for international collaboration enabling academics and students from some of the world’s top universities to work together on issues of global importance. North Carolina State University, the University of São Paulo and the University of Surrey are the founding partners of the UGPN. The mission of the UGPN is to develop sustainable world-class research, education and knowledge transfer through an active international network of selected Universities collaborating in research, learning and teaching to benefit global society.
