Travel to the University
The University is only a ten minute walk from Guildford station and we encourage visitors to travel by train wherever possible.
Guildford is on the London Waterloo to Portsmouth Harbour line and offers a fast and frequent service with a journey time to Guildford of approximately 35 minutes (please note that slower routes from Waterloo also stop at Guildford)

How to get to the station to Stag Hill Campus and CES
By foot: leave the station by the footbridge and rear exit. Turn right from the station along Guildford Park Road and take the second turning on the right. Follow the path through the Council car park to the Yorkies entrance to campus. CES is on the 4th floor of Building AZ (Robert Boyle building) on your left overlooking the lake, as indicated on the map below. There are stairs and a lift from the bottom of AY & AZ buildings which will take you to CES on the 4th floor. For the University's Senate House continue walking passed AZ (Robert Boyle) building with the lake on your right and you will see Senate House immediately ahead of you.
By Bike: leave the station by the main entrance. Turn left and cycle down Walnut Tree Close. Follow the cycle route signs and turn left on the approach road to Jewsons Builders Merchants. Cross the railway line using Yorkies Bridge and onto campus.
By Bus: ARRIVA buses operate a regular service to the campus. Leave the station by footbridge and rear exit, cross over the main road to bus stop. Services 17, 27 and 37 run approximately every ten minutes during the day. The earliest service is at approximately 6am and the last bus is just before midnight. On Sundays there is a reduced.
