CVSSP, Centre for Vision, Speech and Signal Processing, delivers high impact research through collaboration with industry, and through commercial spin-outs.

Most of our research projects are at some level connected with commercial or government end-users. CVSSP has track record of over 25 years of engagement with industry at all stages of research and development, from blue sky research to direct exploitation of mature technologies.

In addition to these collaborations, CVSSP has a strong record of industry spin-outs and technology transfer through Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP).  Spin-out companies include 3D body scanning provider Avatar-Me, and OmniPerception - founded in 2001, and located in the adjacent Surrey Research Park.
