Nouf joined the Department of Computer Science, University of Surrey, in April 2013 as a PhD student studying usable security and privacy. Her principal supervisor is Dr Shujun Li and her secondary supervisor is Dr Norman Poh.

Since 2008, Nouf has been a lecturer at the King Saud University, Saudi Arabia, and her PhD study at Surrey Computer Science is fully funded by the King Saud University.
