What is Additional Learning Support?

ALS is a confidential support service for disabled or dyslexic students, including: Taught and research students, distance learners, students on placements, undergraduate students both international and home.

Information and advice for students

ALS offers a range of services and adjustments including support funded by the Disabled students’ Allowance (DSA).  ALS will discuss with you the adjustments you need for exams or support on your programme.  We will require your consent before sharing disability or health related information. Our support agreements will be sent formally to your department and Registry in a Learning Support Adjustments form (LSA).  Your details will be kept confidential within the University and will only be used for support purposes.
