Support

Bespoke support is available to you in a variety of forms including: one-to-one appointments and "quick query" sessions; interactive workshops, employer networking events, alumni talks and online resources.

These 45 minute appointments are opportunities for you to meet one-to-one with one of our specialist careers advisers, to discuss and/or work on any topic you would like to (related to your career).  Themes that often arise are:

  • Exploring career options
  • Planning and taking the next career steps
  • Completing application forms
  • Writing CVs and cover letters
  • Preparing for interviews
  • Having a mock interview.

Each client is entitled to four of these appointments within a six month period, and each must be booked in advance.  Face-to-face meetings are held in the ECC, but Skype meetings are also available where face-to-face is not possible.

To get the most from the appointment, send any relevant documents in before the meeting so the careers adviser can prepare and give you the best service.

To book an appointment:

  • PGR Students, please book via Pathfinder
  • ECRs/others, please call the ECC front desk on +44 (0)1483 689001.
