Pint of Science

Ever wondered about the origins of our universe, the inner-workings of the human mind, or how the technology of tomorrow will shape the future?

Venues to be confirmed.

Guildford’s 2018 Pint of Science festival, taking place in local venues between 14 - 16 May 2018, will see University of Surrey academics deliver fascinating and accessible short talks on the latest scientific research and breakthroughs, all in the comfort of your local pub.

The event allows the public to listen to, and engage with, researchers and academics at the forefront of their fields, discussing the latest scientific research.

This year, Guildford’s Pint of Science festival will explore captivating themes such as Beautiful Minds (neuroscience, psychology and psychiatry), Atoms to Galaxies (physics, chemistry, maths and astronomy), Tech Me Up (biotechnology, robotics and computers) and Our Society (law, history, politics, policy and languages).

With an informal delivery, Q&As, and interactive games and competitions, the Festival promises to be just as fun as it is fascinating.

Further details and tickets will go on sale in early 2018. Watch this space!
