Cole-Hopf transform and its extension to the Navier-Stokes equations

After reviewing the Cole-Hopf transform for the Burgers equations, we see how we may benefit by extending it to the Navier-Stokes equations. This includes a regularity criterion for the Navier-Stokes equations and a method of monitoring near-singularities in numerical experiments of Navier-Stokes flows.
