Overview

Over the past thirty years, the Centre for Vision, Speech and Signal Processing (CVSSP) at the University of Surrey, has become an international centre of excellence for training and research in audio and visual machine perception in collaboration with industry. Our research has pioneered new technologies for the benefit of society and the economy, with applications spanning healthcare, security, entertainment, robotics, autonomous vehicles, communication and audio-visual data analysis.

  • Jiri Matas, Professor at the Centre for Machine Perception, Czech Technical University in Prague, CVSSP PhD alumni (1995)
  • Jonathan Starck, CTO Synthesia Technologies, CVSSP PhD Alumni (2003)
  • Shirin Enshaeifar, Senior Research Fellow in Machine Learning and Healthcare informatics CVSSP at the University of Surrey.
