Battersea birthdays

Happy birthday to three of our Battersea graduates who recently each notched up 80 years.

Former chemistry students Tony Turner, Bill Ryan and Lionel Cousins got in touch to share this celebratory photo and would love to hear from any other members of the class of 1957. If you get in touch with the alumni relations team, we can pass on any messages.

Bill went on to be senior lecturer in ceramics at the University of Stafford; Lionel spent his career in Harwell, retiring finally as principal scientific officer in the Computing Department; and Tony retired as senior lecturer in education at the Institute of Education in London.

If you and fellow alumni are planning a special reunion, do let us know so that we can celebrate with you! The team is also putting together a class reunion guide with all the information you need to hold a successful event, which will be available in a few weeks’ time.
