Biochemistry students on placement in America

We recently visited the USA to catch up with three Biochemistry students who are spending their Professional Training Placement year in North Carolina.

One of the best parts of a Surrey degree is our prestigious Professional Training Placement scheme, which gives the majority of students the chance to spend a year gaining valuable skills working in industry, between the second and third year of their degree.

In this video, Hayley Crockett, Harry Sedgewick and Jo Amosah, who are on our Biochemistry and Biomedical Science programmes, talk about their Professional Training Placement year in the Genetics Laboratory at North Carolina State University.
