Business alumnus hailed as role model
A Surrey Business and Management graduate has been named a rising star in the Black British Business Awards for his achievements in the retail and consumer sector.
Segun Akinwoleola, who graduated in 2011, was appointed national account manager for Revlon in July 2015 where he manages the relationship with Boots. Prior to joining Revlon, Segun worked for a number of companies, including Adidas and Kao Brands.
The Black British Business Awards celebrate and promote the significant contribution of black professionals in business in the UK. In its second year, the awards recognises both established leaders and rising stars in finance, science, technology, engineering, professional services, consumer and retail and individual entrepreneurs.
Melanie Eusebe, Chair and Co-founder of the Awards, said: “I congratulate Segun Akinwoleola on his award. He is a role model within the consumer and retail community and demonstrates excellence in the work he does.”
