Chemical and Process Engineering at Surrey ranks second in the 2016 National Student Survey
Chemical and Process Engineering degrees receive 98 per cent satisfaction in final-year student survey.
The University of Surrey has been ranked second in the Chemical, Process and Energy Engineering category of the National Student Survey (NSS) 2016 - leaping 14 places in just one year.
Dr Esat Alpay, Director of Teaching for the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering, said: "We are absolutely delighted that our efforts for improving the student learning experience have been recognised by our graduating cohort!
"The simple ethos of the teaching management team has been to put the students first, which has meant prompt and thorough responses to all individual and year-group issues, embracing current and research-informed practice in student engagement, and making the best use of our Chemical and Process Engineering SurreyLearn homepage as a one-stop-shop for key information, resources and announcements.
"We will continue to work with our students and new alumni to help progress towards a truly inspirational and rewarding degree experience."
The NSS is an annual survey that gives students the opportunity to have their say about their university learning experience. Feedback is given on teaching, assessment and feedback, academic support, organisation and management, learning resources and personal development.
The tuition at Surrey is great – there are lots of interesting modules and the lecturers use a variety of teaching aids, and are really friendly, approachable and willing to help at all times.
