Food Science storms into the UK top three
High student satisfaction and excellent graduate job prospects propel Surrey’s food science programmes into third place in The Times/The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2014.
Surrey beat 30 other universities to gain a top three ranking for its food science programmes in the latest league table from the Times and Sunday Times.
Last year, Surrey’s undergraduate food science programmes – Nutrition, Nutrition/Dietetics, Food Science and Microbiology and Nutrition and Food Science - placed fourth in the Guide, which rates performance in a number of key areas including the quality of teaching and academic feedback, course content, facilities and the quality of research.
The good news follows an excellent score for Surrey’s ‘Nutritional Sciences’ programmes in the National Student Survey.
Overall, the University of Surrey came 12th in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2014, second only to Oxford in the South East.
