School alumnus named one of tomorrow’s travel leaders

Matthew Gardiner, an alumnus from the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, has been featured in a list of ‘Tomorrow’s Travel Leaders’.

The list, compiled by TTG Digital in association with TUI Travel, shines the spotlight on 30 of the travel industry’s most inspiring young people under the age of 30. Focusing on those who have made an outstanding contribution to their business, entries and nominations were drawn from across the travel industry.

Matthew, who graduated in 2006, is currently working as Marketing Executive for Choice Hotels Europe. In three-and-a-half months, he has implemented the group’s digital marketing, email and social media while managing the e-commerce, online content and SEO across its UK and EU websites.

Matthew commented, “Strong personal relationships make for successful businesses and careers and I can’t wait to meet and network with the other 29. I think that the 30 under 30 events will provide many exciting learning opportunities and I hope will help raise the profile of Choice Hotels as we expand in the UK.”

Tomorrow’s Travel Leaders enjoy free membership to the Institute of Travel and Tourism, and are welcomed to a series of networking dinners with speakers drawn from the most senior levels within travel.

TTG Digital is the website for Travel Trade Gazette, the UK's leading publication for travel agents and the travel and tourism industry.
