School of Economics rises to 2nd in Guardian University Guide
The School of Economics at the University of Surrey has leapt up the league tables in the 2014 Guardian University Guide, rising by five places to 2nd in the rankings.
After enjoying a 7th place ranking in the 2013 tables, Surrey has overtaken the likes of Cambridge, Kent, Durham, Warwick and London School of Economics to stand second in the UK for the subject.
Economics at Surrey has flourished for a number of reasons, ranging from high entry tariffs that attract top undergraduates, through to world-class academics providing high-quality teaching, reflected in excellent student satisfaction scores.
The School’s success reflects that of the University as a whole, with Surrey climbing to 8th in the Guardian’s overall University rankings.
