A students’ guide to exploring Guildford

Our guide for students who are new to the area. Discover the best places to explore in Guildford.

The University of Surrey’s advantageous location, just ten minutes’ stroll from the centre of Guildford, means that there are always many wonderful things to discover. Named the eighth best place to live in the UK in the Halifax Quality of Life Survey 2015, Guildford is a bustling, historic town offering a dynamic mix of entertainment, culture and history.

Guildford is a lovely place, there’s all sorts of great stuff going on. There’s loads of restaurants in town, a good nightlife, beautiful parks and castles, a scenic river and coffee shops galore. What’s not to like?
