The prestigious Guardian University Guide 2018 has rated a number of courses at the University of Surrey amongst the best in the country, maintaining its position within the top ten places to study in the UK.
Fourteen academic programmes offered by the University have made it into the top ten, with English and Creative Writing appearing for the first time in this respected list. In addition, impressive gains were also seen in economics and mathematics, both jumping ten places to seventh and fourth respectively.
The University has maintained its reputation in key centres of excellence. The School of Hospitality and Tourism Management was rated number one. Our Dance and Drama courses, part of Guildford School of Acting (GSA), and our Music programmes (from the Department of Music and Media) were rated number two, highlighting our expertise in these areas.
Vice-Chancellor and President of the University of Surrey, Professor Max Lu said:
These results once again demonstrate that the University of Surrey is a world-class institution that attracts the best researchers and students. Our continued success is testament to the hard work and commitment of our staff and students. I am delighted that we have received this recognition.
