The University of Surrey recently marked International Women's Day with 'Women in Business: The Journey to Success', an evening of professional development and networking for alumni, staff, and current Surrey students.
Hosted at the University's Management School Building, the event featured inspiring talks from Rosemary French, Executive Director of the Gatwick Diamond Initiative, and Jenny Garrett, founder of Reflexion Associates and a mentor for the Cherie Blair Foundation, the ASPIRE programme and the Centre for Excellence in Women’s Entrepreneurship.
Accompanying the guest speakers were a variety of interactive seminars, on topics ranging from 'Personal branding and successful networking' to 'Working in male-dominated environments'.
The event, sponsored by the not-for-profit community Fabulous Women, also provided a valuable networking opportunity for guests. For more information about similar upcoming events at the University of Surrey, visit the Surrey Business School website.
