Activities for the community

We have activities that staff, students and the community can get involved with.

Surrey Sports Park

Surrey Sports Park is a £36m development that excites anyone with a sporting interest. Located opposite the Royal Surrey County Hospital, the park is open to the local community to enjoy the benefits of exercise, fitness, dance and sport. From racquet sports, a gymnasium and an olympic-sized swimming pool to award-winning grass pitches, fitness studios and a climbing wall, the Park has something for all ages and abilities. Surrey Sports Park also offers more than 100 drop-in group fitness classes, sports courses and sessions, term-time clubs and activities for children as well as holiday camps.

Since opening, the Park has become the full-time base of a number of professional sports clubs including:

  • Superleague champions
  • Surrey Storm Netball
  • National badminton league team
  • Surrey Smashers
  • British Basketball League franchise
  • Surrey Scorchers
  • Guildford City, the UK top-five swimming club.

Spectators can watch the professional clubs live in the Park’s 825-seat indoor arena.
