Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) Trainer Training
Trainer Training – level E
This course is designed for experienced IPT-UK accredited Supervisors who wish to become sole trainers in IPT. The course comprises two components: 1. training in the knowledge and skills base necessary to become an IPT Trainer; 2. supervised practice in IPT training. Participants will be required to demonstrate advanced understanding of the theory and practice of IPT, to shadow one course and to successfully teach two training courses under supervision.
- Length: 1 day taught theory training; shadowing of one 5 day Introductory Level A training course and supervised training practice at 2 full (5 day) Introductory Level A training courses
- Location: University of Surrey, Guildford or off-site if appropriate
- Course Dates: One day theory training is by negotiation. Shadowing and Supervised Trainer training during Level A Introductory Training weeks. Course Dates by arrangement
- Fee: £1,050
Who is IPT Centre Level E Trainer Training suitable for?
Trainer Training – Level E is suitable for those who have successfully completed Supervisor Course Level D (3 days), Supervision of Supervision Practice – Level D and have substantial post qualifying experience of supervising IPT therapists and supervisors. The course assumes prior experience of delivering training in the field of mental health and/or a teaching or training qualification.
