Biography

My research focuses on the 'refugee' and the moral questions that refugee status determination raises.

My main focus is using  the Kantian understanding of dignity and its relationship to self-respect as the theoretical framework of my work. I am currently looking at gender as the reason a refugee flees, to establish the problems with categorisation to meet the convention grounds for protection.

I am suggesting dignity as the grounding for refugee status determination, which would ensure greater protection for the worlds most vulnerable.
