Melanie completed a BA (Hons) in Classical Studies (Royal Holloway) London and a LLM (UCL). After qualifying, Melanie practiced in Corporate Restructuring at DLA (now DLA Piper) and Commercial Property at Wedlake Bell.

Research Interests

Melanie's PhD uses comparative analysis to explore the use of property theories as a mechanism to protect land, as part of the environment.

Other research interest include US Takings Cases, notions of rights and duties within property law, Environmental law and Sustainability.


Melanie has teaching experience in Property Law (Property Law 1A 1033 and 1B 1034)
