Peter Hegarty wins BPS Award for Promoting Equality of Opportunity 2017

The Ethics Committee of the British Psychological Society has selected Peter Hegarty as the winner of the Award for Promoting Equality of Opportunity 2017.

Peter his won this award in recognition of the breadth of the work he has undertaken to promote equality of opportunity and widen access to psychological services.

The Ethics Committee of the British Psychological Society has selected Peter Hegarty as the winner of the Award for Promoting Equality of Opportunity 2017.
This award recognises a person whose work as a psychologist (teacher, researcher or practitioner) has made an exceptional and sustained contribution to challenging social inequalities in the UK in relation to gender, race, ethnic origin, nationality, religion, religion, sexual orientation, disability or age.

Peter his won this award in recognition of the breadth of the work he has undertaken to promote equality of opportunity and widen access to psychological services.

Peter has accepted this prestigeous award and the BPS will announce his success in a future issue of The Psychologist, with an accompanying press release.

The Award itself will be presented at the 2018 Annual Conference in Nottingham, 2 – 4 May 2018, where Peter will be invited to give a paper at one of the award symposia.
